Emma Stone to Play Gwen Stacy in ASM3?
Emma Stone really did a fantastic Job playing Gwen Stacy the first two Amazing Spider-Man movies. So much love has been shown for her that Gwen Stacythe character has grown in popularity, and it looks like she may actually be returning to Play Gwen Stacy for Amazing Spider-Man 3. Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) met her demise at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but this latest rumor suggests that Sony plan to resurrect the character for the next film in the franchise. Christian Today (who have actually landed a few CBM scoops in the past), via Screen Crush, report that the plan is to bring Miss Stacy back in much the same way the Marvel comics did; and have her cloned by the villain known as the Jackal. This sounds more like speculation to me, but with Sony seemingly unsure of how to proceed with this franchise, I wouldn’t rule it out that they’d be toying with the idea of bringing back one of the biggest draws of the previous films. Remember there’s also that rumored all-female Spidey-team movie on the cards — could Gwen be in line to be a part of that perhaps? Like I said, all speculation for now and a pretty out-there rumor to boot but if this was indeed part of Sony’s game-plan, what would you think?
